Do you love shoes, and especially the type of shoe commonly known as the sneaker (kicks for the ones that are really into it)? If so, I have some good news for you. A new website called Sneakerpedia is about to launch. The site is supposed to bring sneaker-lovers together and the thought behind the site is for users to share their collection digitally, and also share some insight and background into some of their rare sneakers.
If you visit the website you will notice how it says “powered by FootLocker” on there. This has caused some anger in the sneaker-community because the fanatics feel the site is a corporate scam. It sure will be interesting to see where this will end up.
I wouldn’t call myself a sneaker-freak, but I like shoes and sneakers especially and I am right now more interested in the controversy around the website than the potential content that could show up there.
Overall, I think this will be a great forum for sneaker fans to unite and discuss different kinds of sneakers and show pictures of their collections.
PS. The website has not launched yet, it is still a work in progress.
